I just started watching Dawson's Creek this week. TBS is playing the show, 2 episodes a day. Lucky for me, I got it from the pilot. I am hooked.

You'll love the show! Have fun posting! Hi Creekfreak, The show is so addicting. I am glad I am getting them 2 episodes a day. I can imagine what it must have been like when it first aired, waiting a week for a new episode. I hope the show starts to focus more on Dawson and Joey. I think some of the best dialogue is between them. And Pacey adds so much humor. I just think the other girl is like the third wheel. I wonder if her character becomes more or less important in the following seasons.

Welcome! It is so cool to hear from someone who just started watching! You are in for a thrill! I started watching mid-series, so I had to piece together a lot of history based on what they said. That is great to start at the beginning. Have fun!

I really hope that Dawson and Joey end up together soon. That Jen character ticks me off. She goes out with Dawson, then dumps him. Then she does not know what she wants. Arghhhh! They should have made the show with just Dawson, Pacey, and Joey.

Jen will start to grow on you after a while. She still ranks 4th on my list, but she does get more likeable as time goes on. I understand the withdrawals! Thank God for the message board!

I am starting to like this new character Andie, the one that Pacey started hating and now is dating. What I don't like is the constant fighting between Dawson and Joey. Why can't they just enjoy their friendship and love? ?? Hey, why is Joey missing from the graphic at the top of this website. I see four people, but Joey is missing.

I've also wondered why the picture used as a banner doesn't have Joey in it. It's a good picture though.
IMO, one reason Joey & Dawson fight is that she has a "mad at the world" attitude in the first season or so. She becomes much more well-adjusted as time goes on.
Andie is a good character. They develop her really well over the next season or so.
Hope you're enjoying the board & the show!

Welcome to the board John! The best thing about DC is it's a show that can draw everybody in, even after it's over.

Hey. I seen your post, I thought I would add my two cents in... I've been watching Dawsons Creek since forever now. When it first came on I was addicted. I watched the premier and then the encore later in the week, just to make sure I didn't miss anything... When it comes to Jen, she was made to be the outcast. Just to add drama. She did grow on me. Especially when her and Jack became best friends. Well, this is my two cents for now. Hope to see you post....K

For example, who really cared about this freshman who wants to date Jen? It is just taking away screentime from the 3 main characters.

I know, but the characters should be presented as evolving in the real world,I guess. Maybe that's why they introduce all the others, in order to provide some kind of contrast or frame for the main characters to grow.

That hole time that she is dating guys like Cliff or Henry she's changing. She's more or less growing up from who she was in NY. How she acts towards guys is all apart of how she's growing up. how it effects her and what she does about it. That's pretty much setting the back drop for who she becomes in later seasons. As far as insecurities and youth goes. Or at least this is what I always thought!

For some reason Joey, Dawson, and Pacey seem to have the most interesting/best/funniest dialogue. I also might not like her because of season 1, where she got in the way of Joey and Dawson getting together. And then the night Dawson and Joey were going to hook up she popped in and told them about Abey. It is like Jen is always there to ruin Dawson and Joey getting together.
