as the couple walked into town, they both spotted one of the two persons they least wanted to hurt.. andie. and she saw them too, holding hands. freaking out over what embarassed situation may come, andie turned tail and walked the opposite direction.
'they're back,' andie thought to herself. 'what am i doing? i promised to get jack some lunch, and i'm starving myself.. but i don't know if i can face them yet.'
the girl continued to speed-walk away, hoping to get lost in the crowd on the sidewalk.. not that there was much 'crowd' to get lost in.

Jen was sitting at the table browsing through a magazine, while sipping from her glass of cold lemonade. Sure was hot that day and boring. Suddenly she heard a knock and a voice call out. It was Jack at the door.
"In the kitchen," Jen called out to him. A smile spread across her face. She was happy to have company here. Stood up and went to the cupboard to fetch a glass.
"Hey Jackers. Do you want a drink?" she asked him as he entered the kitchen.

In town Pacey spotted a familiar blonde head heading off down the street away from them. "I think that's Andie. Should we try and catch her, or...?" Pacey trailed off there. They'd managed to hurt Andie too in their getting together. Something Pacey hadn't counted on. He thought she'd have been over him by then, but apparently there was at least some small residual feeling there. Pacey looked at Joey with a questioning look in his eyes.

"That's sort of the problem," grabbing the lemonade out of the fridge.
"Nothing much has happened today," pouring the cool drink in the glass. "Which is sort of relaxing for awhile." Jen sighed. Placed the lemonade back in the fridge, and gave the glass to Jack.
"Now don't look at me like that Jack," as Jen sat down again. "It's just that summer is nearly over and I'm bored that's all. I think it's perfectly normal to be bored," defending herself. Watching Jack's amused look and raised eyebrow.
"OK, let's forget about me for now," she smiled. Flipping the magazine shut.
"So how was your day today then?" she asked Jack, as she reached for her drink.

Jack chuckled lightly and smiled, "Thanks." He took a long drink of the lemonade. *Now that hits the spot.* He thinks to himself.
"Well, Dawson and I finally finished Mrs. Oliver's house. Took us four days to paint it just so. But she paid us Really well, so I'm not going to complain about it." Jack said, leaning back and feeling relaxed.

Pacey speeds up and lightly taps the blonde, who he was now down right positive was Andie on the shoulder. "Hey, Andie. How are things?" He glanced at Joey and waited to see what would happen.

andie tried to speed walk as fast as she could, all the while trying not to look like she was doing so, when she felt the familiar touch on her shoulder.
she scrunched her face and closed her eyes as she heard him speak. she slowly turned to see pacey give a small smile and look at joey. 'great. got caught... just.... great.'
"hey guys!" she wanted to sound enthusiastic but it just didn't sound that way. it came out more like, 'hey!.... guys...'
andie pushed the thought to the back of her mind. "what are you doing here? i didn't see you, i didn't even know you were back in town. how was your trip?" andie started to ramble.
'calm down,' she screamed at herself. but she couldn't help it. she was nervous and trying not to be upset.. anymore.
